BLNRC is currently seeking a part time Overflow Nurse - 8 or 12 hour shifts available. Sign on Bonus available, paid over a 36-month period. Salary dependent upon experience.
Qualifications: holds a degree from an accredited Nursing Program, currently possess an unencumbered license as LPN or RN in North Dakota, has excellent communication skills, is a detail-oriented team player, and is someone who desires working with the elderly. Advanced training or experience in geriatric nursing and/or previous experience as a charge nurse is preferred.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting the staffing coordinator to assure appropriate staffing, adjusting staff according to needs; rounding on residents and their families to see how we are performing and addressing concerns as needed; purchase order and inventory management of OTC meds; oversee e-kit inventory; mentor and coach staff while adhering to BLNRC policies and procedures; maintain clinic skills to perform nursing duties as needed; assist during emergencies; occasional lab draws and vaccinations including record keeping; assist DNS in development and implementation of education for staff and monitor compliance; monitor for safety and QA regulations; participate in continuing education programs to enhance personal and professional success.
