Cook - PT

BLNRC currently has a part time Cook position open. Our facility is open 7 days a week; hours would be from 11a-7:30p. Applicant can expect a schedule of one day a week, every other weekend, and rotating holidays.  

Duties include preparing, seasoning, and cooking protein, vegetables, soups, and other foods in the proper amounts and related duties as instructed by supervisor. Candidate must be able to read, speak, write and follow oral and written directions given in English, have a knowledge of food prep, sanitation, hygiene and food management and storage.  Cooking experience desired and the ability to cook in large quantities is preferred.  Knowledge of cooking principles such as cooking time, temperature requirements, and seasoning.  Knowledge of basic cooking dishes and different cuts of meat.  Candidate must be able to stand or walk for majority/all of shift time and have the ability to lift and transfer heavy and sometimes hot items safely.  Candidate must follow all federal, state and local sanitation and safety regulations.
